My Story
I started Scottech after seeing so many of my friends and family being manipulated by other web based companies. Many would make empty promises, which would lead to incomplete projects, frustration and/or lost money. I had seen enough and always enjoyed web design, so I started volunteering to make and maintain sites for local business. Years later, I decided to leave the stress of Corporate America and set out to do something helpful, constructive and tangible, so here we are :)
My History
Web Design started as a hobby of mine back in 1997 when I got my first computer. I first taught myself the software program Dreamweaver and built a website for the baseball team I managed, along with the league as a whole, the Eastern Minnesota Baseball Association. That lead into word of mouth referrals from friends & local businesses.
My passion for analytics started even earlier Whether it was analyzing my favorite sport players statistics or keeping stats on my video games, my head was always in the numbers. Later in life, I also learned that my dad and his asking for my NFL picks to bet a "nickel' was way more dramatic that I thought as a kid (that was $500).
My Philosophy
Your website is often the first way that your clients and prospects learn about your brand, so it has to work hard and be visually pleasing. This leads to client prospects, phone calls, email and revenue for you. My goal is to make this process very painless and financially doable.
